Nissan opened the scoring in the 4th minute of this Boxing Day fixture when a freekick from Hodgson was laid into the path of L Ryan who drilled the ball into the bottom corner.
A below par Jarrow Roofing team never really threatened the motormen and it was only a matter of time before they went further ahead, an unfortunate mistake by Dowell in the Jarrow Roofing goal left B Ryan the easiest of chances and he was able to tap in from 2 yards.With half time aproaching a cross from the influential Hodgson was met at the far post and headed in by Cogdon.
The second half was played at a slower pace and this allowed Jarrow Roofing to display some good football and this was rewarded in the 75th minute when their star player Keith Hutchinson rammed home an unstoppable shot.
Nissan responded and upped the pace of the game again and had a period of outstanding football which culminated in Cogdon scoring his second with a rifled shot low into the bottom corner.
Both teams had further chances to add to the score but the game petered out into a 4-1 win for Nissan and another 3 points.

"At times this looked like a training session, after Nissan went 2-0 up the game was won and it reflected in the performances. Saturday's game against Durham City may well have been on the minds of the players.
However there were good performances from Richard Hodgson and Leon Ryan. It was also nice to see David Tait and Paul Milner back playing after recent injuries.
The overall performance was not good but was enough to beat poor opposition"
